About

Spring Airlines is a Chinese low cost carrier operating services from its base at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport. The airline was the first low cost carrier in China, launching in 2005. Spring Airlines is a subsidiary of Spring International Travel Service Ltd. It is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in Jan-2015.

Spring Airlines was the first Chinese LCC to be granted authority by the CAAC to operate internationally and it commenced service between Shanghai and Ibaraki Airport on 29-Jul-2010. Spring Airlines also has a Japanese JV subsidiary, Spring Airlines Japan.
